A US investor with experience in the UK property market sought options for purchasing a vacant semi-commercial property at auction. The property had planning permission already granted for six additional residential units.
The borrower had terms with a well-known lender but was let down halfway through the process to completion. As the property was an auction purchase, there was a tight deadline remaining to complete without the borrower incurring a penalty and potentially losing their deposit.
